About:
Kat holds her yoga teaching certification through Yogaview in Chicago; her classes and personal sessions utilize Hatha and vinyasa flow yoga to improve strength and balance, increase flexibility and range of motion, and promote mind-body integration. Having trained in Pilates, dance (ballet, jazz, hip hop), martial arts (Tang Soo Do), and the Alexander Technique before she discovered yoga, Kat has a well-rounded and creative perspective on fitness and movement.
Knowing that all bodies and personal histories are different, her teaching philosophy is to give all participants opportunities to develop their practice in healthy ways. Positive, encouraging and challenging, her yoga classes and coaching sessions incorporate breathing and mind-focusing techniques into full-bodied hard work.
